Financial Frontiers Awards

In 2005, Janus Capital Group and the Financial Planning Association (FPA®)  teamed up to create the Financial Frontiers Awards, naming the first award winners in 2006.

The purpose of the Financial Frontiers Awards is to promote serious research and innovative thinking on wealth management and financial planning topics that will contribute to knowledge and dialogue in the financial services industry.

Review & Selection Process

All entries are subject to a blind peer-review process, passing through as many as three stages
of judging:

  • (1) Selection of Semifinalists, (2) Selection of Finalists, and (3) Selection of Award Recipients.
  • A volunteer Selection Committee names award recipients.
  • Award recipients are selected in two categories: (1) Techniques in Financial Planning and (2) Concepts in Financial Planning.
  • Papers are evaluated based on outstanding demonstration of originality, objectivity, technical accuracy, quality of writing and level of discussion and benefit to financial services professionals.
